Firefighters respond to two fires in Kirkland neighborhoods

Crews responded to the first fire at an apartment located between Northeast 133rd Street and 132nd Avenue Northeast in the Evergreen Hill neighborhood.

Firefighters from the Woodinville, Redmond and Kirkland Fire departments put out the fire quickly in the second-floor unit, said Mike Haschak, Kirkland battalion chief. Two occupants of the apartment made it out without injuries.

Minutes later firefighters responded to a kitchen fire at a house in the 11200 block of 80th Ave N.E. in the Finn Hill neighborhood. It is unknown whether anyone suffered injuries in that fire.

Firefighters from Kirkland, Redmond, Northshore, Bothell and Woodinville responded to the house fire.
