Array

Lesley University announced that 20 local teachers just completed courses in the Master of Education degree program in Curriculum & Instruction with a Specialization in Integrated Teaching Through the Arts. Students participated in all 11 graduate degree courses at Voyager Middle School in Everett, Lesley University’s local host site for the program. The students eligible for graduation will receive their degrees in August.

The students include: Susan Fowler of Kirkland, a 2nd grade teacher in Lake Washington School District; Linda Hart of Kirkland, a 1st grade teacher in Lake Washington School District; and Robyn Hodges of Seattle, a K-6th music teacher in Lake Washington School District.

Lesley’s unique cohort program brings students together to complete their studies locally one weekend a month. The program was designed to help working teachers attain a specialized Master’s degree that both amplifies their skills as an educator and increases their value in the workplace.
