The City of Kirkland has adult and youth vacancies occurring on several of its advisory boards and commissions, and interested residents are invited to apply.
Eligibility requirements differ for each board or commission. Some incumbents on these boards and commissions have served one term and intend to apply for re-appointment.
Completed applications must be received by Kirkland City Clerk Kathi Anderson prior to 4 p.m. on Feb. 16.
Adult vacancies are available on the following boards and commissions:
- Cultural Arts Commission
- Design Review Board
- Library Board
- Park Board
- Planning Commission
- Salary Commission
- Transportation Commission
Youth vacancies are available on the following boards and commissions:
- Cultural Arts Commission
- Library Board
- Park Board
The members of the commissions and boards listed above are appointed by the Kirkland City Council with the exception of positions on the Cultural Arts Commission. Those positions will be appointed by the current commission members.
The council will interview qualified applicants on March 16, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Most boards and commissions hold monthly evening meetings.
