In celebration of Earth Month in April, Kirkland Conserves presents the fifth annual Sustainability Education Series in partnership with King County Library System. Up your green know-how with workshops and tours on Thursday evenings throughout the month of April. This biannual series aims to teach Kirkland residents how to live more sustainably through tours, workshops and talks.

Sustainable Education Series Schedule:

· Recycling Center Tour – April 7, 6:30-8 p.m., Cascade Recycling Center

Tour the Cascade Recycling Center in Woodinville to see how recycling is sorted.

· Green Cleaning Workshop – April 14, 6:30-8 p.m., Kirkland Library

Get green cleaning tips and recipes to make your own toxic-free cleaning ingredients.

· Let’s Talk Trash: Annie Crawley – April 21, 7-8 p.m., Kirkland Library

Take an expedition to the Great Pacific Garbage Patch with photographer and author Annie Crawley.

· Easy Home Efficiency – April 28, 6:30-8 p.m., Kirkland Library

Learn free and cheap ways to save water and energy at home from Puget Sound Energy and Cascade Water Alliance.
