Burglars can’t hide from Kirkland police, KC helicopter and Seattle K9

Norkirk residents in Kirkland arrived home on Friday to find their sliding glass-door forced open and a man running into the woods north of their property. The residents also noticed a suspicious car parked on the street that drove off quickly after honking the horn upon their arrival.

Norkirk residents in Kirkland arrived home on Friday to find their sliding glass-door forced open and a man running into the woods north of their property. The residents also noticed a suspicious car parked on the street that drove off quickly after honking the horn upon their arrival.

Kirkland police were called at 12:55 p.m. to the 400 block of 20th Avenue and the car was found a few blocks away unoccupied. Two men were located hiding in the woods north of the residence.

The King County Sheriff’s Office helicopter, Guardian 1, first spotted the males and Seattle K9 tracked to their location.

The men were arrested under suspicion of burglary.
