Alternative Giving Fair set for Nov. 14

Kirkland Interfaith Network (KIN) invites the public to its annual Alternative Giving Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 105 State St. South in Kirkland. KIN is one of 20 local, national and international organizations represented at this unique event that offers “symbolic” holiday gifts, which can be purchased in honor of someone on your holiday gift list. For each “symbolic” gift, you receive a card to give to the recipient explaining your gift. In addition, there will be a selection of fair-trade handcrafts from the developing world provided by Ten Thousand Villages and there will be entertainment throughout the day.
