Anyone who wishes to reach Seattle via State Route 520 this weekend should prepare for a closure of the highway’s lanes across Lake Washington.
All lanes of SR 520 will close at 11 p.m. from Montlake Boulevard to I-405 on June 6.
Crews will use the closure to demolish and construct barriers and place asphalt.
All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. on June 9 in time for the morning commute.
Drivers should note that, on Monday morning, an 800-foot section of the west approach from the existing floating bridge will be narrower to create a new area for crews to work from.
WSDOT posts information about construction closures and nighttime work on the SR 520 Orange Page, the interactive construction and driver planning tool for the SR 520 program.
