520 ramps at 92nd Avenue Northeast to close over the weekend

Drivers heading west on State Route 520 will need to adjust their routes this weekend if they want to exit the highway before paying a toll.

The following is a release from the Washington State Department of Transportation:

Drivers heading west on State Route 520 will need to adjust their routes this weekend if they want to exit the highway before paying a toll.

The SR 520 interchange at 92nd Avenue Northeast will be closed this weekend for construction, making 108th Avenue Northeast the last westbound exit before the toll bridge.

The westbound SR 520 off-ramp to 92nd Avenue Northeast will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday, April 4 to 5 a.m. Monday, April 7. The interchange’s on-ramp to eastbound SR 520 will also be shut down during the closure. Contractor crews working on the Washington State Department of Transportation’s SR 520 Eastside Transit and HOV Project will be opening a new, reconfigured on-ramp and paving a portion of the off-ramp.

The closure also means changes for weekend bus riders who would ordinarily use the eastbound freeway transit stop at 92nd Avenue Northeast. The upcoming work will require crews to close the stop at the same time as the highway ramps. The eastbound SR 520 freeway transit stop at Evergreen Point Road remains open throughout the weekend.
