The Kirkland library will host Issun Boshi: The small samurai puppet show at 2:30 p.m. on June 24.

Small but brave Issun Boshi wishes to be a samurai. He must dodge hungry creatures, find work in the city and battle oni (ogres) to finally realize his dream.

The show is presented by Shaver Puppets and is designed for families with all ages welcome.

The library will have 130 free tickets to hand out 30 minutes prior to the show.

The Kirkland library is located at 308 Kirkland Ave. in downtown Kirkland.
