Thanks to Kirkland community for supporting student’s future

On April 28 we look forward to welcoming 500 community leaders of Kirkland, Redmond and Sammamish

On April 28 we look forward to welcoming 500 community leaders of Kirkland, Redmond and Sammamish to celebrate the 5th Annual “Legacy for Learning” luncheon for the Lake Washington Schools Foundation. Hosted again by Juanita High School, the event raises funding to support academic excellence and success for all students in the Lake Washington School District.

All 51 Lake Washington school communities are represented at the event – the broad support is appreciated all the more each year. Generous sponsorship by Microsoft, Sodexo, HSBC, and LWYSA underwrites the luncheon, allowing every donation to benefit LWSD students. The Foundation funds grants to directly support the District, schools, classrooms, and students and teachers. Adapting the grants to meet the shifting challenges for our students offers opportunities for local support to make the most meaningful difference. Superintendent Dr. Chip Kimball is the keynote speaker on the topic of “Future Ready in an Uncertain Future.” Guests are invited to arrive early by 11 a.m. to begin registration; the program will run from 11:30 a.m. to noon. Additional information is available at www.lwsf.org.

We gratefully thank our generous community for their ongoing support in building a Foundation over the last five years in support of our future – the 24,000 students in the Lake Washington School District. Onward we go together!
