Larry Springer and Roger Goodman … did you really write that? | Letter

The guest editorial, dated Oct. 8, 2014 written jointly by Larry Springer and Roger Goodman is so peculiar, I am honestly wondering if they actually wrote it themselves. Is it possible that someone on the Democrat Party staff or perhaps Matt Isenhowers’ campaign staff wrote it?

Here is why I am wondering. Both Larry and Roger have worked very well with Sen. Andy Hill on a wide range of issues including the budget and school funding. At multiple town halls they have told us over and over how well they work together. They both voted for the budgets that Andy Hill wrote. The vote margin was literally a landslide, 81-11, in favor and either or both of them could have voted against the budget and proclaimed their political ideological opposition without affecting the outcome.

When you read this letter and then compare it to the actual history of the budget and how it was formed and who supported it, including Larry and Roger, a thinking person is left scratching their head and wondering how short their memories are. Alternately, it suggests that perhaps the letter was written for them by someone that does not really know the history and they are so obliged to the Democrat power brokers that they allowed it to be submitted as if they wrote it themselves. So I would like to know which it is. Are they talking out of both sides of their mouths or have they sold their personal integrity to Frank Chopp, Tom Steyer and Jay Inslee?
