Underhill’s Fine Wood Furniture, which had previously announced that it would close its Redmond store at the end of January, has since announced that it will also close its Totem Lake, Bellevue and Lynnwood stores on March 31. It’s Kirkland location is at 12510 120th Ave. N.E.

He would sing anything that didn’t require much talent: The B-52’s Love Shack or some Adam Sandler tunes to get people laughing.
McVicker — now the president of Kirkland-based Event Source Northwest that recently won King5’s Best Wedding DJ of Western Washington people’s choice award — came up with the idea of starting a karaoke company more than 20 years ago when he stepped in to Lake Bellevue Café. There, he watched a karaoke show that was rousing during the introduction.

Ending nearly a year-long process, Mayor Jim Lauinger called for the champagne.
“If we had champagne, or we could have champagne in here, we would do it,” he said.
City Council agreed to finally give the go-ahead for revised plans to build the Merrill Gardens/Bank of America (BofA) project at its Nov. 18 meeting. A citizen’s appeal for the development of the property at the corner of Kirkland Avenue and Lake Street South was brought earlier this year by Citizens for a Vibrant Kirkland (CiViK). After winning their appeal in August, the decision was appealed by SRM Development in Superior Court. After negotiating a temporary hold on the lawsuit, the city, CiViK and SRM reached an agreement to end legal action and modify the plans.
