The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission seeks innovative and creative art events and activations that showcase Kirkland’s arts, culture and heritage.

Artists and arts organizations, who have a unique proposal that promotes performance art, literary art and other artistic ventures, can apply for funding available through the commission. Special interest will be given to programs that expose art to new audiences.

Proposals are due by 5 p.m. on Nov. 16.

The commission has two $1,000 grants available in funding. Proposed activities must occur within Kirkland city limits and before Dec. 20.

The grant application form is available online at kirklandwa.gov or by contacting Philly Marsh at pmarsh@kirklandwa.gov or 425-587-3013.

The commission will consider all proposals and make determinations at its Nov. 18 meeting, to be held at Kirkland City Hall, 123 5th Avenue, Rose Hill Room, 4 to 6 p.m.
