Juanita cheerleaders finish third at state

The Juanita cheerleading team placed third at the WIAA State Cheer Championship Saturday in Everett.

The Rebels scored 210 points and finished third in the non-tumbling category. Kentwood won the category with a score of 252.

The category limits teams to 20 participants. Tumbling is defined as feet over head rotation. Routines for all categories are a maximum of two and a half minutes long.

Juanita last placed at the state competition in 2007, when the team finished fourth in the medium girls division.
