Work ethic drives LW’s Reisman to a KingCo title

Reisman defeated Juanita’s Angel Kotalas 8-2 in the KingCo 3A tournament 106-pound championship match

During the offseason Lake Washington Kangaroos 106-pound wrestler Max Reisman pushed himself through rigorous workouts in preparation for the 2017-18 season.

The hard work paid dividends.

Reisman defeated Juanita’s Angel Kotalas 8-2 in the KingCo 3A tournament 106-pound championship match on Saturday at North Creek High School.

“All through winter and spring I put in a lot of hard work. I ran a lot of 55s (a combination of sprints with push-ups after each sprint) and was constantly running back and forth in the gym,” Reisman said of his preparation. “I had never wrestled (Kotalas) before because I dropped down from 113 (weight class). It was really an experience.”
