Plenty of basketball on tap in the new year

As the local basketball squads jump into the new year, Lake Washington and Juanita’s girls lead the 2A/3A KingCo Conference with identical 4-1 records. LW is 6-5 overall and Juanita is 5-5 overall.

On the boys’ side, Lake Washington sports a 2-3 record in 2A/3A KingCo action and is 6-6 overall, and Juanita is 1-4 in league and 3-6 overall.

In girls’ action on Wednesday, Archbishop Murphy will host Lake Washington at 5 p.m.

On Thursday, Juanita will host Bothell at 7:15 p.m.

On Saturday, Lake Washington will host Stanwood at 4:30 p.m. and Juanita will host Issaquah at 7:15 p.m.

In boys’ action on Saturday, Juanita will host Woodinville at 3:45 p.m.
