Locals earn all-KingCo hoops honors

Juanita’s Lexi Intong earned co-MVP honors with Bellevue’s Kara Choi on the 2A/3A KingCo all-conference list. Lake Washington’s Jeff Wilson is coach of the year and Kang Jen Estes is defensive player of the year and second-teamer. First-teamers are LW’s Rosa Smith and Sophia Liesse, and honorable mentions are Juanita’s Chelsea Hill and Kayla Huff and LW’s Ellie Pederson and Elise Hani.

On the boys’ side in 2A/3A KingCo, LW’s Ryan Staudacher notched co-coach of the year honors with Mercer Island’s Gavin Cree and Juanita shared sportsmanship honors with Sammamish. Individually, LW’s Torin Montgomery made first team, LW’s Nick Strausburg and Evan Liggett and Juanita’s Cameron Knowles made second team and honorable mentions were LW’s Jared Keeley and Derek Giovacchini and Juanita’s Aidan Lund and Nate Robertson.
