Expert panel to tackle the facts about youth sports

An expert panel of specialists will discuss the facts and myths surrounding concussions and more in youth sports from 7-8 p.m. May 16 in the Eastside Catholic High School commons/cafeteria at 232 228th Ave SE, Sammamish.

The public is invited to this free event

Speakers will be Dr. Stan Herring, UW Medicine-Sports Health and Safety Institute; Emily Carter, Seattle Children’s Hospital, certified athletic trainer; Jen Heger, football mom and coach, member Positive Coaching; Paul Johns, Seattle Seahawks, director of youth and high school football programs; and Rob Laris, Northwest Junior Football League vice president of player safety.
