Bumiller notches perfect game for Lake Washington softball / Roundup

Lake Washington softball pitcher Tess Bumiller fired a perfect game in the Kangs’ 30-0 victory over Mercer Island on March 29. She had nine strikeouts in the five-inning contest.

LW got five hits each from Jane Wilson, Lilly Bean and Amy Chen (five RBIs), four hits from Anna Fridell (five RBIs) and three hits apiece from Jamie Pippin, Maliena Carelli and Claire Towey.

On April 1, the Kangs beat Interlake, 11-1, and received two hits each from Fridell and Wilson (four RBIs), who notched the win from the pitchers’ circle.

In Juanita softball, the Rebels beat Interlake, 13-2.

Mackenzie Burke homered and got the win from the pitchers’ circle, Abbie Reynolds had three hits and Jordan Schroeder and Eden Radke had two hits apiece.

BASEBALL

LW’s baseball team notched a pair of wins over the weekend: 15-8 over Capital and 11-6 over Bellevue.

Against Capital, Nation Wood had a homer and four RBIs, Jose Vizcarra had four hits, I-Ly Hsue and Torin Montgomery had three hits each and Travis Lee had two hits.

In the Bellevue win, Hsue had three hits and two RBIs, Montgomery had two hits and three RBIs and Dylan Kennedy had a double and three RBIs.

On April 1, LW defeated Sammamish, 14-0, and received two hits each from Wood, Jesus Vizcarra (three RBIs) and Jose Vizcarra.

Juanita’s baseball team defeated Mercer Island, 7-6, on March 29. The Rebels got two hits each from Tyce Peterson, Donovan Hershey (two RBIs) and Cole Whiteman.

The Rebels downed Bellevue, 3-2, on April 1 behind two hits and an RBI from Kyle Fukutomi and one hit and two RBIs from Hershey.
