Kirkland Summer Concerts start next week

The Kirkland Summer Concerts, presented by the Kirkland Downtown Association (KDA), are returning to Marina Park and Juanita Beach Park for the 40th year of the series.

The evening concert series starts July 6 with Petty Differences, a Tom Petty cover band. The evening concerts are scheduled for 7-8:30 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 17 at Marina Park, 25 Lakeshore Plaza.

The rest of the acts booked for the evening series are as follows:

July 13: 85th Street Big Band;

July 20: Country Dave &His Pickin’ Crew;

July 27: Cambalache;

Aug. 3: Creme Tangerine;

Aug. 10: ’80s Invasion; and

Aug. 17: Geoffrey Castle.

The kids concert series starts July 11 with Cowboy Buck and Elizabeth. The kids concerts are scheduled for 10-11 a.m. every Tuesday through Aug. 22 at Juanita Beach Park, 9703 N.E. Juanita Dr.

The rest of the acts booked for the kids series are as follows:

July 18: Captain Awesome Sauce;

July 25: The Not Its;

Aug. 1: Mister G.;

Aug. 8: Recess Monkey;

Aug. 15: Brian Vogan &His Good Buddies;

Aug. 22: Caspar Babypants.
