Google Lights takes over CKC

Holiday revelers came out in force to the Cross Kirkland Corridor section on the Google Kirkland campus to take in the light show engineered by Google employees to sync up with holiday music.

The lights were turned on by Kirkland Mayor Amy Walen at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 2 as part of the second annual Google Lights event on the CKC. The lights will continue to be on display through Jan. 1, and the approximate address of the Google CKC section is 499 Seventh Ave. S.

In its second year, Google Lights attendees also had the opportunity to step inside a human-size snowglobe, and the free event also included caroling and hot cocoa.
