Thanks Fire Station 21 | Letter

Thanks to the firefighters at Forbes Creek Station 21 who went beyond the call of duty to help me find my cell phone, which I lost in Juanita Bay Park.

It was dark and late and beginning to rain, and I was elderly and alone. I had searched my dog-walk route with flashlight, but no luck. The phone would be dead by morning. So I plaintively knocked on the fire station door and the two firefighters on duty readily drove their truck, lights blaring, to the parking lot and searched with their bright torches along the edge trails while ringing up my number on their phones.

We heard it dimly ringing and FOUND it in the brambles. I am SO grateful for such angelic public servants.
