Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland hires two new employees

The Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa in Kirkland has announce the addition of Brooke Gogerty and Jason Friendy to the staff.

The Woodmark Hotel and Still Spa in Kirkland has announce the addition of Brooke Gogerty and Jason Friendy to the staff.

“We are highly confident that both of these individuals will add significant value to our organization,” said Woodmark General Manager Howard Jacobs. “We are thankful for these new additions to our diverse and well-rounded team and are looking forward to each of their unique contributions in 2016 and beyond.”

Gogerty joins the Woodmark Hotel as the director of catering, and will oversee all corporate, social, and wedding disciplines. Gogerty is a graduate of Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation and Leisure Studies and has been recognized as a leader among Pacific Northwest hotels. She brings a background in the independent full-service luxury hotel environment, previously serving in director of catering assignments at Hotel 1000, the Arctic Club Hotel and the Sorrento Hotel.

Friendy will serve as the new director of food and beverage. Friendy’s responsibilities will include oversight of all restaurant, room service, banquets, catering, and culinary operations. He is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University with a Bachelor of Science in Food and Beverage Management. He served for eight years as the executive chef at The Resort at Squaw Creek in Lake Tahoe, Calif. Friendy has been instrumental in heading up the organization’s food and beverage trailblazer strategy teams along with other key leaders, has served in multiple task force roles in guiding and assisting other hotels and resorts within the company and successfully completed a one year leadership development program encompassing both front of house and culinary operations.
