The Juanita High School fastpitch team won its first game of the year, 10-1, against Sammamish on Friday in Kirkland.

The Juanita High School fastpitch team won its first game of the year, 10-1, against Sammamish on Friday in Kirkland.

The team was led by Lexi Blackburn (2-for-4) and Brynn Radke (1-for-2), who each hit a home run during the game.

Lisa Nelson picked up the win in the pitching circle, throwing a complete game four hitter with nine strikeouts.

The Rebels will travel to Renton to take on Liberty today at 4:30 p.m.
