Prep Sportswear is sponsoring the 2nd annual Spring Break Bash Baseball Tournament benefiting the Pat Downs Foundation (PDF) on April 20-22.
The PDF is named for Pat Downs, the legendary Kirkland youth baseball coach. The foundation was set up by his former players, who were on his 1982 Kirkland National Little League World Series Championship team.
The foundation strives to help kids in athletics who might not have the resources nor support that most kids have. The goal is to help level the playing field for kids who otherwise would not have the opportunity to participate, nor get the extra training to make athletics a truly great experience for them.
The tournament for 10 -to 12-year-old baseball players will be held in Woodinville and Bothell on April 20-22. Twenty four teams from King and Snohomish counties will participate in this year’s event. Proceeds benefit the Pat Downs Foundation, providing scholarships for disadvantaged youth interested in playing baseball. For more information, visit patdownsfoundation.org/.
