Registration open for Kirkland’s youth basketball league

Boys and girls, grades third through sixth, will have fun developing skills, learning teamwork and making friends in one of America’s favorite activities - basketball.

Boys and girls, grades third through sixth, will have fun developing skills, learning teamwork and making friends in one of America’s favorite activities – basketball.

The city of Kirkland’s youth basketball league features equal play and a positive learning environment for youth sport. Register can be found online at www.kirklandparks.net or by calling 425-587-3336 until Oct. 26.

The fee is $92 and includes a team jersey. Practice begins the week of Dec. 1 and games begin Jan. 10 at various elementary and middle schools in the Lake Washington School District.

Teams will benefit from working with dedicated, qualified and encouraging volunteer coaches who will lead players through positive interactions and encourage sportsmanship. Interested volunteer coaches are encouraged to call 425-587-3360 for a coach’s application.
