Rebel girls take first loss of the season

The Juanita High School girls basketball team lost its first game of the season 60-57 against Ingelmoor Friday. The Rebels, who scored over 20 points in the final quarter of play during the first two games of the season, did not fare as well against the Vikings. Juanita managed just seven fourth-quarter points after being tied 50-50 following the end of the third period.

The Rebels were led on offense by Kimberly Baba (13 points), Amanda Wilson (12) and Taylor Paddock (11). Paddock finished with seven steals, while Baba had nine rebounds.

Inglemoor’s Taylor Peacocke led all scorers with 36 points.

The Rebels will start in-league play by hosting Sammamish at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
