Cedarville University head volleyball coach Doug Walters has announced the signing of Katie Adair to National Letters of Intent during the recent NCAA signing period. Katie Adair, who attended Providence Classical Christian School in Kirkland, has committed to play for the Lady Jackets beginning in 2016.

Adair is a 6-foot-1 senior middle hitter from Providence. She was a four-year letter winner and starter on her prep squad and led her team to their second consecutive state tournament appearance this past season.

Adair was an all-conference first team performer as a junior and was awarded the Sportsmanship Award at the state tournament. She earned all-conference honorable mention as a sophomore. Adair also played club volleyball with the Space Needle Volleyball Foundation.

“Katie is a great personality that is going to fit in wonderful with the current members of our team,” Walters said. “We were also very impressed with Katie from the first time that we saw her play. She puts up a very nice block on the front line and has a very nice ability to place shots on the court from a variety of angles. She continues to add the size that we like to have to our front, and I really look forward to what she is going to add to our program.”

Adair plans to major in nursing at Cedarville University. She is the daughter of Michael and Victoria Adair of Woodinville, Washington.
