For most of the seniors on the Lake Washington boys basketball team the past four years have been long, with very few wins to show for their efforts, including a last-place finish in 2009. But it was fitting that Friday was senior night because the hard work paid off as the team won the Crown Division championship.

During the contest, Bothell ran out to a 20-10 lead after just eight minutes of play. Lake Washington was never able to regain enough momentum to cut into the Cats’ lead. The biggest problem for the Kangs during the game was the scoring output of Bothell’s Dominic Ballard, who put up 26 points. Sean Frankenfield led Lake Washington with 15 points, while Ryan Guisness had 11 points.
