NU’s Gleb earns NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors | College women’s volleyball

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 455 volleyball student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Friday that 455 volleyball student-athletes have been named 2014 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes. Northwest University’s Christina Gleb, a junior setter from Vashon Island, Wash., earned the academic honors.

Gleb totaled 274 assists and 189 defensive digs in 109 sets played this past season while adding 26 service aces.

In order to be nominated by an institution’s head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
