Northwest University to host two soccer title games

The Northwest University men's and women’s soccer teams are in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships final Nov. 15 and will host the title games on the NU Athletic Field.

The Northwest University men’s and women’s soccer teams are in the Cascade Collegiate Conference Championships final Nov. 15 and will host the title games on the NU Athletic Field.

The women, No. 1 seed in the CCC Championships and regular season champion, will play No. 2 seed Concordia from Oregon in the battle between two NAIA top 25 teams at 10 a.m. Concordia, the defending NAIA national champion, is ranked No. 3 in this week’s NAIA Top 25 poll while the Eagles are No. 23 in the coaches poll.

The Northwest men, who finished second in the regular season, are the No. 2 seed in the CCC Championships and take on Corban of Salem, Ore., the No. 4 seed which upset No. 1 seeded Concordia in Portland 2-0. Game time is 1 p.m.

The winner of the championship games will advance to the NAIA national tournament which begins Nov. 22.
