Kyle Zimmerman (Bothell, Wash.) put the Eagles in the lead, 1-0, when he scored at the 23:57 mark of the first half in a frantic volley of shots in front of the Warner Pacific goal. Zimmerman took Kieren Raney’s (Snohomish, Wash.) shot which deflected off the Knight’s goalkeeper to score from 3 yards out.

Northwest U (5-1, 1-0 CCC) goalkeeper, Daniel Christenson (Bothell, Wash.) earned the shutout with five saves, the 16th of his career, in goal with Warner Pacific taking 14 shots to Northwest U’s 17 today.

The Eagles got the game clinching score in the 37th minute when Jacob Weaver (Spokane, Wash.) scored from 12 yards out on the left side after taking a flip pass from teammate Jordan Travis (Bothell, Wash.).

Erdal Barkay had eight saves in goal for Warner Pacific (0-2, 0-1 CCC) in 90 minutes of play.

Northwest U remains at home and will host Eastern Oregon tomorrow at 1 p.m. while Warner Pacific will travel south to Olympia to play Evergreen in a CCC game.
