Eastern Oregon would take the lead early and maintain the lead the entire half aided by 50 percent shooting (14-28) from the field and 50 percent from the three-point line (6-12). Airashay Rogers would give the Mountaineers their largest lead of the half, 39-25, with 4:04 left in the half. Chanara Greene’s score in the paint with 37 seconds left would cut the EOU lead to nine, 42-33, but Nikki Osborne would hit one of two free throws with 38 seconds on the clock to give EOU a 43-33 lead at the half.

NU would start the half on a 4-0 run to make it a 43-37 game after Jordan Asher’s jumper at the 15:48 mark. That would be the closest the Eagles would come although pulling to within eight three times. EOU’s shooting would cool down in the second half as they shot 33 percent in the period. Eastern Oregon would out score the Eagles 23-21 which would prove to be enough for the victory for the league leading Mountaineers.

Chanara Greene (Lake Stevens, Wash.) led Northwest U (11-17, 3-14 CCC) with 29 points and 8 rebounds. Jordan Asher (Puyallup, Wash.) added 16 points and four assists hitting 50 percent of her shots. Charmaine Bradford (East Palo Alto, Calif.) added eight points for NU who managed 40 percent shooting for the night.

Eastern Oregon (23-5, 15-2 CCC) was led by Maya Ah You’s 15 points and seven rebounds. Airashay Rogers scored 13 points and handed out 5 assists for the Mountaineers who shot 42 percent. Maloree Moss added nine points as EOU out rebounded NU 37-33.
