Locals earn titles at district track and field meet

At the recent 3A Sea-King District track and field meet, Lake Washington High titles went to Brady Gockel in the javelin (176-09) and the girls 4×100 relay of Kate Pallemaerts, Rosa Smith, Taryn Chisholm and Thayer Davis (49.60).

On the Juanita High side, Ryan Greenwalt took first in the 400 (49.83) and long jump (22-06.25) and Julia Ryan won the discus (116-11).

The state meet — which will feature a bevy of local athletes — is this weekend at Mount Tahoma High in Tacoma.
