The Juanita High volleyball team dropped its season opener to Liberty in straight sets on Wednesday evening in Bellevue, falling 25-14, 25-16, 25-17 in the first Class 3A KingCo match of the year.

White, a returning first-team standout, led with seven kills on just 14 attempts. The problem wasn’t White’s effeciency, but Juanita’s ability to serve-recieve and pass the ball.

Junior Natalie Peloquin and sophomore Belle Jordon both had three kills.

Next, Juanita is scheduled to take part in the Cascade Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 10 at Cascade High School in Everett.
