The Lake Washington High School girls basketball team lost to Redmond, 53-47, in overtime on Saturday in Kirkland.

The two teams were only separate by three points after the first quarter but Redmond took an 11-point lead into halftime.

The Kangs battled back to cut the lead in half during the third quarter and eventually tie the game as regulation expired. But the Mustangs doubled up Lake Washington, 12-6, during the overtime.

No further results were reported.

The Kangs will host Interlake at 5:45 p.m. tonight in Kirkland.
