Lake Washington High dance team to host competition

Lake Washington High School’s dance team will host an interscholastic dance competition on Nov. 16.

A total of 12 dance teams from all over Washington state will perform their routines as they kick off the beginning of the competition season. “The energy is amazing at this awesome event and it’s exciting and fast paced; truly a great event for all,” reads a press release.

Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m., doors open at 11:30 a.m. and the competition begins at noon. Tickets are $10, and $5 for students with an ASB card with proceeds benefiting the Lake Washington Dance Team Booster Club.

The event is open to the public and takes place in the Lake Washington High School gym, 12033 N.E. 80th St., Kirkland.

This year’s LW team is led by seniors Elle Seeler and Anna Rongerude and juniors Sarah Vincent, Rina Suzuki, Anna Lewis and Annabelle Martin, and coached by Lindsey Ryan, Jeanne Gloudemans, Michelle Coon, Amy Moorhead and Madeleine Usher.
