Lake Washington girls start slow, lose to Issaquah

The Lake Washington girls basketball team started slow – twice. The Kangs lost to Issaquah 54-40 Wednesday as they were outscored by the Eagels by a combined 12 points during the first and third quarters.

Lake Washington managed to kept pace after getting into the flow of the game, being out scored by just one point, 17-16, during the second period and, 12-11, during the fourth. The Kangs were led by Colleen Walsh (12 points), Sam Brender (7) and Melissa Wilson (7).

At 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Lake Washington will travel to Bothell for an in-league game before winter break.
