Paul Falco gave up just one earned run for the Lake Washington High School baseball team as the Kangs defeated cross-town rival Juanita, 7-3, on Thursday in Kirkland.

Falco earned the win by racking up 12 strikeouts, walking just one batter and giving up three hits during six innings on the mound.

Juanita earned that one run during the first inning but Falco’s teammates came to his aid with two runs during the second inning.

Another score during the fifth, three more in the sixth and a run during the seventh, gave Lake Washington a 7-1 lead heading into the Rebel’s final at-bats.

Lake Washington was led by Kyle DePartee, who finished 1-for-2 with two RBI, while teammates Kevin Nakahara and Jake Steele also picked up an RBI each.

Juanita was led by JD Worcester, who had a pinch-hit two RBI single during the bottom of the seventh inning.
