Lake Washington beats Interlake for 12th consecutive win | Prep softball

Big hits from Marissa Ewald carried the Lake Washington High softball team to a 10-6 KingCo League win over Interlake on Friday in Kirkland.
Ewald hit a g0-ahead homer in the bottom of the fifth inning, started a three-run rally to ice the game in the bottom of the sixth and finished with four RBIs.
The Kangaroos (12-2 overall, 12-0) registered their 12th-consecutive win, moving a full three games ahead of Juanita in the KingCo 3A standings with six games remaining in the regular season.
Jane Wilson got the win for Lake Washington, going 5 innings and two outs with six hits and eight strikeouts. Tori Bivens stepped in for the final four outs, and struck out all four remaining batters.

Bivens also finished 4-3 with two RBIs.
Next, the Kangs are scheduled to take on Bellevue at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 27 at Lake Washington High School.
