Lake Washington baseball beats Eastlake 10-7

The Kang baseball team overcame a 5-0 first inning defect Friday to beat Eastlake High School 10-7. The Kangs gave up all five runs during the top of the first, only to come back with three of their own during the bottom of the inning. Lake Washington scored three more during the bottom of the fourth and then again during the bottom of the fifth. The team scored one more in the sixth. Eastlake got back on the scoreboard during the seventh for two runs but it was too little too late.

The Kangs were led by Bob Cruikshank on offense, as he went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBI. Nori Shimizu and John Shimabukuro drove in two runs each for Lake Washington, while Kory Kohlwes had three stolen bases.

The Kangs will host Garfield today.
