Monster Energy Supercross, the world’s premier form of dirt-bike racing, will kick off its 15th race of the 2012 season on April 21 from CenturyLink Field.

Considered to be one of the most physically demanding forms of competition, Monster Energy Supercross is the home of the fastest riders on the planet and contains a field full of new, up-and-coming riders, one of whom is Kirkland native Collin Jurin.

After achieving some success as an amateur, Jurin turned pro in 2009, where he joined some of the most talented Supercross Lites Class riders on the West Coast. Following an injury that sidelined him at the beginning of this season, Jurin is looking forward to making his 2012 debut in front of his hometown crowd in Seattle.

At the tender age of 19, Jurin’s main priority while aboard his Suzuki 250cc motorcycle is to qualify for every main event that he participates in. For 2012, Jurin will compete for RF Motorsports USA, which is a team that prides themselves in being able to support privateer riders in getting the help that they need to achieve their lifelong dreams.

During his childhood, Jurin dreamed that he would one day race in Seattle like his idol Chad Reed. Now, being able to ride on the same track, in the same venue as Reed numerous times before him, is an indescribable feeling for Jurin.
