Northwest University (NU) of Kirkland came through with a solid second half to defeat New Hope Christian College, 64-53, in a non-league game Friday. The win improves the Eagles record to 9-5 for the season.
Chanara Greene led NU with 17 points and 11 rebounds for a double-double, her seventh of the season. Jordan Asher added 16 points. Freshman Charmaine Bradford and sophomore Kristen Frey each scored eight points for the Eagles who shot 41 percent for the game.
New Hope was led by Kenzie Weston’s 18 points while teammate Jess Logan dropped in 13 points before fouling out of the game. NU out rebounded NHCC 47-41.
