Kirkland resident wins three races during USA Swimming regional championship

Kirkland resident Victoria Truswell, 15, placed first in three events during the USA Swimming's 2016 Northwest region age group championships held in Federal Way on March 10-13.

Kirkland resident Victoria Truswell, 15, placed first in three events during the USA Swimming’s 2016 Northwest region age group championships held in Federal Way on March 10-13.

Truswell won the girls 15-18 400 individual medley with a time of 4-minutes, 43.18-seconds, 100 breast with a time of 1:07.89, and the 200 breast with a time of 2:27.62. She also placed fourth in the 200 freestyle and seventh in the 100 freestyle.

Truswell attends the Lake Washington School District’s Emerson K12 as a ninth grader and swims for Gold’s Aquatics Club.
