Kirkland resident Kimberly Pancoast wins Seafair triathlon among females for third consecutive year

Kirkland resident Kimberly Pancoast won the Seafair triathlon among females for the third consecutive year on Sunday.

Kirkland resident Kimberly Pancoast won the Seafair triathlon among females for the third consecutive year on Sunday. Pancoast has taken first among female competitors during a quarter of all Seafair triathlons. Pancoast completed the 1-mile swim, 20-mile bike ride and 10-kilometer run in 1 hour, 58 minutes, 22 seconds, placing her tenth overall.

Kirkland resident Ryker Lammers finished 11th overall with a time of 1:58:04.

In the sprint competition, a half-mile swim, 12-mile bike ride, 5K run, Kirkland resident Wade Praeger finished fifth overall with a time of 1:04:39, while Adam Clarke finished seventh (1:05:02).

Nearly 1,800 athletes participated in the events.
