Kirkland native earns Big Sky conference honors

Ryan Staudacher, from Kirkland, and member of the Grizzles basketball team, was named as one of the 2010 Big Sky Conference Scholar-Athletes. To be eligible, athletes must have competed their athletic eligibility in 2009-2010 and stood out in both athletic and academic pursuits.

Staudacher finished his fourth and final year with the team this spring, finished third on the team in scoring in his last season, averaging 8.6 points a game. Staudacher had a career three point shot average of 44.4 percent and led the conference as both a junior and a senior. His 210 career three’s is the third highest on the Montana career list.

He was also a three-time Academic All-Big Sky Conference selection and earned a degree in finance with a grade point average of 3.57. He will graduate this summer from the school’s Master’s in Business Administration program.
