The Lake Washington High School girls basketball team could not overcome a slow first half Saturday in Seattle, losing to Bishop Blanchet 52-42.
The Kangs struggled on offense during the first half, scoring just eight points during the first quarter and six points during the second quarter. In contrast, Blachet scored 14 points during the first eight minutes of play.
Lake Washington recovered to play well during the second half, outscoring the home team during the third quarter and keeping pace during the final eight minutes of play.
The Kangs were led by Hannah Brender with 11 points.
