The Lake Washington High School girls basketball team lost to Eastlake 68-42 in Kirkland Wednesday to open the season.

The Kangs struggled throughout the game, including being doubled up during the first quarter, 16-8, and quadrupled up during the third quarter, 16-4.

Lake Washington kept pace during the fourth quarter, 18-17.

The Kangs were led by Carly Rataushk with 16 points.

Lake Washington will host Redmond at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
