The Lake Washington High School football team gave up 42 points during the first quarter as they lost 49-7 to Bishop Blanchet on Friday in Seattle.
Three of Blanchet’s first-quarter scores came on plays of 42 yards or more. The final score of the quarter came on an interception return for a touchdown. Blanchet made it 49-0 during the opening minutes of the second quarter.
Lake Washington finally got on the board as DJ Mann found Bruan Inslee for a eight-yard touchdown pass before halftime.
The loss brings the Kangs’ record to 1-1 on the season. Lake Washington will travel to Juanita for a rivalry game against the Rebels at 7 p.m. on Friday.
