The Kangaroos (23-7) closed their run in the tournament with a 7-3 loss to Glacier Peak on Saturday morning.

Meadowdale, the team that went on to win the 2016 state title, handed Lake Washington a 3-2 loss to knock the Kangs out of the championship bracket on Friday afternoon. Meadowdale picked up back-to-back home runs to start the top of the second inning, and tagged Emma Rosendal at home as she looked to score the tying run in the bottom of the fifth.

Hannah Walker and Marissa Ewald both hit home runs in the following game as Lake Washington beat Auburn Mountainside 5-1 to stay alive in the losers bracket.

Junior Tori Bivens started three of the four games, finishing with 27 strikeouts. Jane Wilson pitched the start of the game against Glacier Peak.

In Bivens’ opening 10-0 win over Prairie, the Kangs gave up an error in the top of the first inning. Bivens responded with a no-hitter and 10 strikeouts in five innings.
